Is it okay if I just blog one photo?

Whenever I only have one photo to share, lately I’ve just not published it at all, or I’ve just posted it straight to Twitter / Facebook. However both of those networks totally butcher the fine detail and overall quality of images, because of JPG compression. So, forget that. Here’s a random landscape photo I took today, while scouting out LIGHT for this weekend’s Natural Light portrait workshop… :-)

Nikon D300, 24mm AIS, (both back from service, yay!) on a tripod and using a circular polarizer and GND filter. 2.5 second exposure, f/11, ISO 200. Even with the GND, I still had to double-process the RAW file and merge the images in Photoshop. I need to get out and shoot nature more often!

February 7, 2010 - 8:44 PM Bet Rank - I'm all for the one photo post. I usually have "wordless Wednesdays" on my blog when I have time to blog. :) With all the snow on the ground around here it was nice to gaze at this and imagine warmer weather.
