I confess, I’m a camera geek. Wireless flash is flippin’ sweet. I like to hang out with strobists, or anybody who knows what I mean when I say “three quarter key light with a kicker”…
However, I just gotta say: “Eat your heart out, Joe McNally!” …Here’s an ode to natural light portraits! As much as I like flash, and all that geeky stuff, there really is nothing like working with what you’ve got.

(Images captured on a Nikon D300, The first four images with my beloved Sigma 50-150 2.8, the last with my manual focus Nikon 24mm 2.8… RAW capture, processed in Bridge CS3, no burning / dodging etc… Just some sweet light!)
